Society Sunday Service

June 12th marks the Queen’s official 90th Birthday, join us in prayer and celebration this Sunday evening as we give thanks for her remarkable life in faith and service. We will be joined by listeners to Premier Christian Radio for this year’s Society Sunday event in our Great Hall at MCHW!

Revd Tony Miles be hosting the evening, which will include an address from our Superintendent, Revd Dr Martyn Atkins, special prayers for HM the Queen from the Dean of Westminster, with other prayers from Revd Michaela Youngson, a chair of the London Methodist District, and the Revd Rose Hudson-Wilkin, chaplain to the Speaker in the House of Commons. Other guests will be sharing Bible readings and hymns, including the Bible Society, Tear Fund, Street Angels and the Religious Literacy Partnership, together with Commonwealth Ambassadors, and the MP Stephen Timms. 

This memorable service will be recorded for broadcast later that evening and we are expecting a large congregation.  So please don’t miss it!

We will gather at 6:00pm for a 6.30pm start, to give thanks to God for the Queen and all those contributing to make our society a better place.
