Statement on the death of George Floyd

Statement on the death of George Floyd

The Ministerial Team at Methodist Central Hall Westminster wish to add our voices to, and stand in solidarity with, those in own congregation and around the world who are appalled at the brutal actions that led to the death of George Floyd on 25th May.  We believe that every human being is made in the image and likeness of God, is a precious child of God and deserves to be treated as such. We weep with those who are weeping, we are angry for those who are treated as less than others, and we repent for the times we have been, and are, part of the problem.

We commit ourselves, in the words of the prophet Micah ‘To act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with God’.
