On Good Friday members of Methodist Central Hall Westminster joined with hundreds of others from Westminster Abbey & Cathedral for a joint walk of witness.
The congregation at Methodist Central Hall Westminster marked the start of Holy Week with a service of Holy Communion at 10am on Palm Sunday, followed by Morning Worship in the Great Hall at 11am and Jazz Vespers in the Chapel at 6pm. On Holy Wednesday we were invited to pray around the stations of the Cross at Westminster Cathedral and on Maundy Thursday a service of Holy Communion was held in the Great Hall, followed by a performance of Mozart’s Requiem by the choir of Methodist Central Hall Westminster and Great Hall Organ and Orchestra.
Good Friday commenced with a service of meditation around the cross led by Revd Ruth Gee, former President of the Methodist Conference and now National Ecumenical Officer for the Methodist Church in Britain. At noon we joined hundreds of others outside of our building for ‘The Cross on Victoria St’. Photos from this event can be found here.
I was great for @MCHW to share simple witness to Jesus with @wabbey and @WestminsterCath yesterday. Three excellent short addresses, including this one from Rose Hudson-Wilkin. Thanks to the hundreds who turned up to walk in silent worship. https://t.co/06R4p04KaP
