The Martin Turner Suite

The Martin Turner Suite

On Thursday, 26th October, Methodist Central Hall Westminster welcomed back previous Superintendent Minister & Team Leader Revd Martin Turner for the official dedication & naming of the ‘Martin Turner Suite’.

The event opened with a ‘Mad Hatters Tea Party’ provided by our catering partners, Kudos. Chair of the London District, Revd Michaela Youngson opened the event with a prayer and then all sang the hymn, ‘To God be the Glory.’

Revd Youngson said, ‘In naming these rooms ‘The Martin Turner Suite’, we recognise and mark the long and rich ministry offered by Martin in this special building as its Superintendent Minister.’

Revd Martin Turner said, ‘Anything I achieved was never down to me, it was always down to one of the teams I worked with. One day this room may not be here, nor the building itself, but the lives touched during my time here are the real and lasting legacy – all of us have been part of God’s team, a team of love, a team where all are welcome.’

The event closed with the hymn ‘Captain of Israel’s Host’ and the Grace.
