Methodist Central Hall Westminster was delighted once again to play host venue for the ‘Saying Goodbye” service, organized by the Mariposa Trust.
This was the 100th such service to take place since the Trust began some 5 years ago, each providing a reflective and poignant occasion to those who have lost a baby in pregnancy, at birth or in early years, together with those grieving never having had a child. On this occasion some 3000 candles were lit marking babies lost over the lifetime of the Trust. Moving songs, poems and prayers enabled the 250 people present to mark these sad occasions together, with mutual care, strength and hope.
A tiny bit of this evenings service ♥️ thanks to all the SG team and the lovely @MCHW team – over 3000 candles lit, each representing a baby gone too soon pic.twitter.com/fkBnzXnESt
