We were delighted to welcome the BBC cameras into the Great Hall to record ‘Songs of Praise’, which was broadcast on Sunday, 21st January.
Presenter Sean Fletcher spoke to Revd Dr Martyn Atkins about the history of the building, received a tour to the top of the dome from Revd Tony Miles and spoke to Julian Lloyd-Webber, son of the former Director of Music at the Hall, Dr William Lloyd-Webber.
Connie Fletcher visited St Vincent’s Family project, (located in the basement of Methodist Central Hall) and the congregation and choir sang hymns such as ‘Love Divine all Loves Excelling’ accompanied by the Great Hall Organ. Our Jazz Vespers team, led by saxophonist Dan Forshaw were also featured along with ‘West End has Faith.’
