Dan Forshaw

Communications & Digital Media – Jazz Vespers leader

Biography

Dan Forshaw is our very first Digital Media Co-Coordinator at Methodist Central Hall, Westminster.

Dan was appointed by the church in September 2014 to explore how digital technology can be used to enhance the mission, worship and communication of Methodist Central Hall, Westminster.  In 2019 Dan’s role was widened to incorporate all the external communications for Methodist Central Hall Westminster.

Dan is passionate about using Digital Media to communicate and is an avid Tweeter and Facebook user. Dan became aware of the potential of Social Media whilst working in his other role as a professional musician. Dan works closely with all members of the team so that our ‘digital welcome’ is as warm as our ‘real world’ welcome.

Dan is part-time at Methodist Central Hall, Westminster – which allows him to fit in his other passion as a professional jazz musician and music teacher. This makes Dan the perfect fit to lead our ‘Jazz Vespers‘ ministry here at Methodist Central Hall, which was featured on our very special Songs of Praise service in January 2018.

Dan teaches students at the University of Cambridge, as well as many others across the world via Skype with his Cambridge Saxophone programme.

He met his wife Katy whilst they were studying together at London School of Theology, and they have two small children and live just outside Cambridge.
